Meet Dr. Tate Jackson
Dr. Tate is a board-certified orthodontist who believes that smile care offers his patients the opportunity to transform their lives by improving their overall health and well-being.
A native of Nashville, TN, he studied at Auburn and practiced in Manhattan before moving to North Carolina. He loves using his expertise and experience to help transform the Carrboro community with healthy new smiles.

Dr. Tate’s journey in orthodontics led him to practice in the bustling streets of Manhattan, NY, before he embarked on an academic path at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
There, he had the good fortune of serving as an educator at the UNC-Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry, one of the most prestigious dental schools in the world. He’s also spoken nationally and internationally on orthodontics research and education.
Today, Dr. Tate continues to contribute to orthodontic education — both as an adjunct faculty member at UNC and through his academic research and publications — ensuring that the next generation of orthodontists receives top-notch training and expertise.
